Deuces Wild Poker

Doug: And we're back on The New Net Poker -- with our new Net Poker champion, Chris Massie. Already CY$23,400 to the good -- and *much* more can be won here at Deuces Wild Poker. This is how it works.

Doug: Behind these numbers, we've randomly hidden ten outlaw cards. There's one outlaw in the top row, two in the second row, three in the third row and four in the bottom row.

In a moment, I'll ask you to choose one number from each row. Each time you avoid an outlaw, you win a Deuce for your poker hand. As the name of the game implies, Deuces are wild and can be used for anything when building a poker hand worth up to CY$20,000.

However, if you manage to win all four Deuces and not run into any outlaws, forget about building a poker hand -- because you'll be the proud owner of the contents of the Outlaw's Jackpot. Right now, it's worth a whopping CY$100,000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Best of luck to you. This would be a great way to top off a fine win. Let's start at the top row. Just the one outlaw to avoid. Avoid that bad guy and you win the Deuce of Spades.

Chris: 5.

Doug: Number 5. Is he off to a great start?

(dings; audience applause)

Doug: Indeed he is.

Doug: D.J. Hamilton places your Deuce on the board. Now let's play for the Deuce of Hearts. You can win it if you avoid one of the two outlaws on the second row.

Chris: 9

Doug: Number 9, number 9. Is it oh so fine?

(dings; audience applause)

Doug: I'd say so.

Doug: Halfway home to a hundred-grand. Now, this is 50-50 time on the third row. Three outlaws, three other numbers are good. Pick one of the good ones and you'll win the Deuce of Clubs.

Chris: 16

Doug: If 16's a sweet number, you go for the jackpot in the bottom row. Show us 16.

(dings; audience cheers)

Doug: YES!

Doug: Three down, one to go. You're playing for the Deuce of Diamonds and, as always, this is the toughest to win. There are four outlaws to avoid. Pick a number that does not hide an outlaw -- and you win CY$100,000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Good luck, Chris. Pick a number.

Chris: 22.

Doug: The double deuce -- 22.

If

number

twenty-

two

does

not

hide

one

of

the

four

outlaws

in

the

bottom

row,

you

will

win

the

jackpot

of

one-

hundred

thousand

cyber-

dollars.

Let's

see

number

twenty-

two.

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (loud groans from the crowd)

Doug: I'm so sorry. The outlaw at the bottom gotcha. Well, I'll tell you how the three Deuces can help you win CY$20,000. First, where were the other nine outlaws?

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Look how close. Number 21 would've won it for you; 24 would've worked as well. OK, let's put this behind us and move on to building a poker hand. Let's bring down two cards face down.

Doug: Now we had you cut a deck of cards. The first two cards from the top of that deck just came down the chute. You'll choose one card in a moment -- but the card you decline will be discarded immediately. We'll repeat this process with the next two cards.

Doug: At the end of the game, I hope you've drawn cards higher than a 9 of the same suit. That will be a royal flush for CY$20,000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: So start this off by picking a card -- left or right?

Chris: Doug, I'll go with the right card.

Doug: Going with the right card. As I often say, this pick defines the mission. Deej, let's have a look.

D.J.: The Jack of Spades.

(scattered cheers)

Doug: Great pick. Now, as D.J. puts the Jack on the board...

Doug: ...if you can draw another Spade higher than a 9, it's CY$20,000. But if you get another Jack -- CY$10,000. Let's bring in the final two cards of the endgame.

Doug: There they are. Which do you think will win you CY$20,000? The left or the right card?

Chris: Right card again please.

Doug: Right card again.

If

the

card

on

the

right

is

spaded

and

is

higher

than

a

9,

you'll

complete

a

royal

flush

for

twenty

large.

Deej,

let's

have

a

look.
