Doug: And we're back. Last piece of business on TBR for the year is our audience game, the Joker's Dice Risk.
To play, just lock in a bid from CY$1000 to CY$5000 inclusive -- in increments of CY$50.
The player with the lowest unique bid wins the right to play the Joker's Dice Risk. And -- there's a surprise in store for that winning bidder.
I'll tell ya more after you bid. Right now, please lock in your bids.
Okie doke. We're a little short on time. So let's find out who turned in the winning bid.
MATT TAYLOR
CY$1050
Doug: More than one of you bid 1000. Only Matt Taylor bid 1050. Matt, come on up.
Doug: Now, Matt, I promised a surprise for the winning bidder. I'm going to make good on that promise -- right now.
I normally let you roll a pair of normal dice in an effort to build your bank to a mulitple of CY$500 -- to better your odds of winning CY$50,000. But we're not going to do that.
On this last TBR of 2011, we want you to go out a big winner. So, we're going to augment your score -- *right now* -- from CY$1050...

Doug: ... to CY$5000.
This means you're already halfway to the goal of CY$10,000.
Now in a moment, I'll ask you to choose one of the five pairs of Joker's dice. On one side in each pair, there's a Joker you want to avoid. The other sides are worth CY$500, CY$1000 or CY$2000 each.
Each time you don't roll up a Joker, we add the sum of the roll to your score. Build the bank up to more than CY$10,000 -- and you win a bonus of CY$25,000. However, if you bank exactly CY$10,000, the winnings increase fivefold -- to CY$50,000.
Doug: So, which pair of dice would you like?
Matt: Lucky number 3 for me Doug.
(D.J. hands Matt the third pair of dice)
Doug: OK, there are your dice. Before you even roll, I'll give you a chance right now to take the CY$5000 and split -- or risk the five large and try to add more to that.
(audience shouts suggestions)
Matt: Came for the money. I'll risk it.
(Matt rolls)

Doug: And it's a good one. CY$3000 more. Up to CY$8000. Show me double thousand -- and I'll show you CY$50,000. But show me a Joker and we snatch away the CY$8000.
You may run off and take the CY$8000 -- or roll again.
(audience shouts suggestions)
Matt: I'm going.
(Matt rolls)

(most of crowd cheers; a few groans)
Doug: Well, instead of double thousand, it's double 500. Still in it. Matt, this is the final roll here. On the final roll, show me double 500 -- and we cut you a check for 50-large. Any other cyber-money combination, you bank that plus 25-grand. But if a Joker shows up, you win nothing.
What do you do?
(audience shouts suggestions)
Matt: Didn't come this far to stop. Let's roll 'em.
Doug: Going all the way...
for
possibly
fifty-
thousand
cyber-
dollars.
Good
luck,
Matt,
and
roll
the
Joker's
dice
one
more
time.
(Matt rolls)

(strike buzzer; audience groans; BB87 loss cue)
Doug: Ohhhhhh! The Joker comes up at the last possible moment.
Doug: Matt, I tell you what. We started this audience game with a bit of generosity. We're going to end with a bit of generosity.
Your winning bid was CY$1050. So we're going to cut you a check for CY$1050 -- right out of Harry's Swiss bank account -- (a few laughs from the crowd) -- as your consolation prize. A big hand for a big risk taker, Matt Taylor.

(audience cheers) ("A Little Less Conversation" plays)
Doug: Big winner of the episode, obviously, is John Coday Hines. Perhaps we'll have a tournament of champions -- and if we do, John will be in it.
Next time we see you on TBR, we'll have three challengers -- each on a quest for a million. Until then, make it a great holiday season with the loved ones you treasure.
Scarlett: In addition to their cyber-cash winnings, tonight's runners-up will receive...
