Men dressed like the seven dwarves: (singing)
I owe, I owe, Net Debt is here, let's go.

(dwarves whistle)

I owe -- I owe, I owe, I owe.

(they still sing as announcer says...)

Voice guy: Get out of the red with Kevin Kolsen on Net Debt. Only VBS.

======================================================================

Doug: And we're back. John Coday Hines has so far won CY$180,749.

(audience cheers)

Doug: The student body at Arkansas Tech is proud of you -- and will be rooting for you in this round of Go For The Gold.

Someone asked during the break if we've ever played for a million in the bonus round. The simple answer: No. What's worse? I haven't rehearsed what I'm about to say.

(audience laughs)

Doug: So -- I'm going to wing it. Here goes.

Doug: John, this much hasn't changed. There are 80 different amounts of cyber-money in play on the board. Each number from 1 to 80 has been randomly assigned an amount. *Most* of the amounts are higher than before.

In fact I can tell you 70 of the amounts are worth at least CY$5000 each. Three of *those* numbers hide the top three prizes of Bronze, Silver and Gold...

Doug: ...this time, the Bronze is worth CY$200,000. The Silver is CY$300,000. Gold is a cool CY$1,000,000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: However, ten of the remaining amounts are still worth less than CY$100 each.

Should you find one of the top three payoffs or one of the ten lowest amounts, we'll mask the payoff on the readout with question marks. You may then either take the amount on the board or accept our guaranteed counter-offer of CY$2500 per correct answer.

Good luck, John. We are *really* with you now. Let's see you goout in a blaze of glory. Here come your questions.

True or false: More than 5000 copies of the board game Scrabble were sold in its first year of existence.

John: False.

Doug: Just 532.

True or false: Jimmy Carter was the first Boy Scout to later be elected President of the United States.

John: False.

Doug: JFK. You're two for two.

True or false: Mississippi has the largest rural population in the U.S.

John: True.

Doug: No, it's actually Pennsylvania. Last question.

True or false: Humans have more neck vertebra than mice.

John: True.

Doug: Humans and mice have the same number -- 7. (a few groans) You only have two right answers. You get to pick two numbers from the board. All it takes is one to win the million. Good luck and pick two numbers, please.

John: 66 and 29.

Doug: Let's isolate 66 and 29 please.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Let's start at 66 first and see what's attached to that number

66. ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

(ding) (woos from the crowd)

Doug: Hey now. John, the question marks are either hiding the Gold, Silver or Bronze payoff -- or one of the ten Joker's payoffs of less than CY$100 each.

John, at this stage, you have three options. First, you may stop the game and take the amount attached to 66. Second, you may stop the game and take CY$5000 guaranteed -- CY$2500 for each right answer. Third and final option is to go forward and see the amount attached to 29.

John: Doug, let me tell you something. Even it is a low payoff, I still have about CY$180,000 to my name. And the name of the game is The Big Risk. SO LET'S SEE WHAT'S BEHIND #66!!!!!!

(audience cheers)

Doug: Can ya tell he's excited? (audience laughs) Well, you could've had CY$5000. You could've had what's at 29. What was there, by the way?

29. CY$9,250

(ding) (drum roll)

Doug: CY$9250. But it's back to 66.
