Oct. 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th, 30th, 31st North Forrest VFD Haunted Forest
Open "from dark until". Admission is $7 for kids, $12 for adults and

Oct. 21st Monster Dash: 5K for United Way Run/Walk
Starts at 7:30am with registration (race at 8:00am) at the city parking
lot across from Ellis and Chapman on Station Street in
Waynesboro. Early registration, by October 16, is $25; late race
day registration $30. Proceeds benefit the United Way of the Pine
Belt. The event will feature a costume contest -- so

Oct. 21st Haunted Adventure
Takes place from 7:00pm-11:00pm at Forrest County Agricultural High

Oct. 26th Back the Blue Monster Dash
Starts from the Jackson Road Rails to Trails Station. There will be a
costume fun run, a fall festival, fun jumps, a photo booth and much
more. Cost is $20 and includes a T-shirt. Check in is at 6:00pm.
All proceeds benefit the benevolent fund for Lamar County.

Oct. 28th Fundraiser for Jack
Takes place from 10:00am-3:00pm at Chain Park at Twin Forks (5619 Hwy
42, Hattiesburg). The event includes fun and games, raffles and a
Halloween costume contest. Proceeds benefit Jack, who's in need of a

Oct. 28th Halloween Social Dance
Hosted by the Mississippi Ballroom Dance Association, the dance takes
place from 7:00pm-9:00pm at X-Finity Dance Academy, located in
Oak Grove at 5296 Old Hwy. 11. Admission $5 per person. For

Oct. 31st Dearly Departed Walking Tours
Each tour starts at the Saenger Theater in downtown Hattiesburg.
The first tour starts at 6:00pm with a new tour following each half
hour; the last tour starts at 9:00pm. Hosted by the ghost
of Captain William Hardy, those who dare to take the tour will step
back in time to see some of Hattiesburg's legendary characters dressed
in authentic era attire. Tickets are available for purchase on the Downtown Hattiesburg Facebook event page. Refunds will be issued in case weather cancels the tours.
Oct. 31st JCJC Treats in the Streets
Takes place from 4:30pm-7:00pm at the Jones County Junior College
campus in Ellisville. Admission is free, unless otherwise
noted, and the public is welcome to attend to all events. Children must
be accompanied by an adult. Call 601-477-4170 or 601-477-4229 for
more details on the following events...
- From 4:30pm-7:00pm, JCJC clubs and organizations will
have treats and games available in front of Jones Hall. This event is
for children ages 0 to 12 years, and all children must be accompanied
by an adult to attend. Also, the JCJC all-you-can-eat cafeteria will
stay open for dinner. The cost for children ages 4 to 9 years of age is
$4.50, and children ages 10 and adults is $7.25 (tax included). Taco
Bell will be open until 9:00pm and The Bobcat Grill will be open until
8 p.m.; both are located behind the A.B. Howard Gymnasium.
- The costume contests will begin at 5:30pm in the center
of the grassy area of Jones Hall for kids ages 0 to 12. At
6:00pm, a costume contest for JCJC students will begin.
- The annual Treats in the Streets celebration is an
outdoor event and may be canceled or modified, if it rains or if the
weather is not conducive for children.
